That our neighborcountry
Norway is a beautiful has hardly escaped anyone.
This year we decided that our annual "vacationtrip"
would go to Mo i Rana, in connection with their dogshow.
We usually do so that we once each summer decide go somewhere where we
have never been, or to any place that is just how beautiful any time.
The main
purpose of the vacation trip is to enjoy the new (or old) surroundings, in
combination with one or two dogshows.
Driving for Mo i Rana from us is a trip of about 50 swedishs miles, one
way. However, it is worth it.
The nature scenario over the mountains, into Norway
may actually the chin to move down one floor.
Totally captivating.
We can never see ourselves as measured over these
views.
Sure, the car draws a bit more soup than usual, but so what.
This year the
organizing club so cleverly arranged for electricity to all caravans on the
exhibition site.
Lots and
lots of Norwegians, and we two, pushed us together. On friday evening, there
was barbecuing. It was so cosy.
They had also arranged so that there were serving
beer and socializing after
kl.20.
The Norwegians are always so happy, yes-a
.... it may be the language, or??
Saturday offered, despite pouring rain during the night,
bright sunshine.
After the haze remained heavy in the
morning it relieved of the mountains and we could soon see the mountain tops
with snow all around us.
Exhibition place is well located in Mo i Rana, so views of the city and
fjord water back into the city is not so crazy.
Imagine how beautiful nature can be.
The fact that, despite some
concerns, our beloved, wonderful, wacky, and just divine Stumpan got CC and
thereby qualify for a Norwegian Champion made the trip complete.
She has, and
is, a bit tricky to show.
She became, as a junior, sharply attacked by a large mixed breed dog
and has been through loosing her faith in foreign dogs.
That there are plenty of
strange dogs in shows is nothing new, so sometimes, when some unknown fourlegged
gets too close she draws herself back, and how the show result then became you
can guess.
Therefore we will
never, never take anything for granted.
Everything positive is a bonus.
We have passed
through several dog activities and courses so she is getting
better and better.
It feels so incredibly good when she really wants
to prove herself, and make herself justice.
She sure is worthy
that, because she´s really beautiful.
Our little stormy and sweet Grynet was shown.
She was not really in the mood so her performance stopped at
1 + HP in junior class.
But, she has shown quite wonderful exhibition earlier
and I really do look forward to her show many times.
Afterwards, at night, when
barbecue smoke lay thick over the campers, we sat out there until late at night.
We both enjoyed the surroundings, the
pleasant camping neighbors and successes. Fun!
Yes-a, it
was little about our trip to Mo i Rana.
Wondering where we are steering our
course on our trip next year?

| Today has Stumpan and I finished one course. Tracking after wild animals. Everything has went very well. Stumpan has been so clever. Who could believe that our little bundle of energy should be so fokused, exact and targeted as she has shown. A "track-champion to be???? However, it´s so fun to do things that she really enjoys. I think that she will sleep very good tonight. regards/Ann-Britt More on the page "Stumpan activities" |

What a lovely day. We met, 3 puppybyers from B-litter and I, for tracktraining.
It´s both exciting and fun to see the puppies, now 4,5 months old, starting on
their first puppytrack. Everything went very well, and all of them succeeded in
finding their owners. For me, as breeder, it´s lovely knowing that the puppies
are activated and that the owners find it youful and fruitful. There will be
more meetings.

What a lovely reunion! On friday th 16th "Maja" and her proud owners,
Ann-Britt and Hans Karlgren from Boden, came to visit us. Maja did earlier live
at our place, but moved several years ago to Boden. She´s a lovely, active,
speedy and firm lady, with the glimt in her eyes. Maja is soon 5 years, and she
has become the mascot at Bodens Golfcourse.

That we all are "mad"
in different ways is probably very true.
First you drive 40 mil, easy way, to a country where you do not
understand a single word of what is being said.
Then it shows us that
this country, Finland, the sky has just opened on this day totally. It´stormy, the rain is pouring and everything is just so wet and dirty it
can be when the rain comes from all sides and the base consists of some kind of
quarry sand gravel. Still, you stands there, in hours.
A little bit nervous, but excited.
Umbrella, a joke?
A day like this we
thank higher powers for the choice of breed. What if we
instead had chosen to have shih-tzu or any other furthy breed?? The rain
continues to pour down, the wind takes the tent next to the ring of ours, and
starts to fly/run right over my dog in an "exciting" moments during the
assessment. But so what?It doesn´t matter. The idea came through my head -What
are we doing here? My friends are sitting safely at home, outside in the sun?
Purhaps reading a good book! And I?? - But the idea quickly turned into total
joy when the judge, dressed in sheets of rain gear, in a dripping wet fringe,
with a smile suffices me a "drowned" CACIB-patch and an outstretched hand.
Mimmi awarded CK, CACIB BOB, and in a magic moment it feels as if the sun is
shining. Dear little dog, who doesn´t care about the rain pouring down, doesn´t
bother herself about to get a tent over her back. Sets up on all of our wacky
invention like showing her best side a crazy day like today, when buddies may be
at home with dad and just feel good. Dear little Mimmi, thanks for being you.
In the moment of happiness and joy that Mimmi now qualified herself to
International Champion, and the joy to be able to our course homeward, there was
no thought that the car was actually freshly washed (firmly) both externally and
internally. The clothes for the day, carefully packed, shoes polished, and all
Mimmis "stuff" in neat order. Nah-a, in with everything in the car. Newly washed
jacket, who showed to have made it´s best from moisture, pressed together like a
wet ball behind Ikea-bought stuff (Oh, yeah, we had time with it on the way to
the show). The shoes... no comments. Mimmis cage with wagon, yes-a. Neat and
tidy, now? -We can do this later, let's go home-. The only important thing was
to dry up Mimmi, give her a little x-tra good, get heat in the car and keep our
fingers crossed that our dear old V70 once again would help us home.

Now I finished SKK:S
breedereducation. I have, along with a lovely gang breeders from Skellefteå
studied genetics, anatomy, law, mating and whelping, feeding and the puppies
behaviour. An education that I strongly can recommend to other breeders.
We´ve met totally 26 times, under Susanna Johanssons, (Tjäderandens kennel,
www.loparnosarna.se)
professional guidance. There has been lots of discussions, laughts and tears,
and it has all been very valuable.

Now I´m back from my trip to
Stavanger in Norway, with Aridgeocrat´s Angelina Jolie “Grynet”

Since we live up in the north of Sweden, 125 swedish miles from Stavanger, I travelled by plane. When I arrived at the Stavanger airport my breeder Stine Sleveland, along with her friend Eli, and little Grynet in a bag, was there to meet me.
I spend a couple of days there and got the opportunity to meet some lovely bostonowners. We went for a windy tour by the see, and one of the evenings there was held a girl party on my behalf.
After a couple of days we had to go home. But we had to spend one night in Stockholm, because of flying times. Fortunately my sisters son, Johan and his girlfriend Hanna lives there, and we were welcome to stay there. We had a lovely evening, good meat and drink. Thanks Johan and Hanna for taking care of your aunt.
Finally, after some days gone we continued home, to Skellefteå.
The only thing left to do then, was for the new little puppy, “Grynet” to get acquainted with our other dogs. After doing that she literally speaking tumbled into her little flyingbag.

Stumpan has been mated.
Look for more information on "Puppies"
Finally our loved Stumpan is mated. If Nisse and I had got the possibility to decide when to do that, I´m quite shore that we hadn´t chosed Christmas/new-years time, and this winters worst weather.
But since we can´t decide, we went 105 swedish miles down to Kornsjö in Norway to Stumpans contemplated escort, Bright & Brindle Free Spirit “Eetu”. He lives on Bosotto Kennel with his lovely owners Susanna and Pekka Hartikainen.
We had little
snow at home when we left Skellefteå,

But when we came back, after mating Stumpan we had some more.
The only thing for us now to do is to keep our fingers crossed that Stumpans is pregnant. We´ll see.
